Tips for writing activities
For some languages, you can click the special outlined character key to insert characters with accent marks and other symbols that create new sounds or letters, such as á, ö, ñ, ç.
Once you have found your desired character, select it to insert the character into the word or phrase.
If you cannot find a certain letter or symbol, please press the Shift key to access additional characters.
Once you are finished typing your answer in the white box, you will want to hit the "Enter" key on your keyboard or the "green check mark/orange X" key on the virtual keyboard in the program to submit your answer.
It is important to note that you do not want to click the icon with two arrows in the bottom corner of the photo because this will advance you to the next photo and not accept your answer, regardless of if it was correct or incorrect!
It is also important to note that when you are typing sentences, the program may be case sensitive and you will want to properly capitalize relevant letters and punctuate your sentences.
Note: If you keep getting answers wrong, double check that the spelling and punctuation is correct, or click the show answers button to help identify any mistakes you have made.
Rosetta Stone's Hindi typing exercises require the creation of half-form characters. In most cases you can create a half-form by typing the full-form character followed by the character highlighted in the image below.
Sometimes the half-form will not appear until after you type the next full character after the full-form character.
