TELL ME MORE - How can I improve the sound quality of the recordings?

If you are not satisfied with the quality of the sounds you record, here are several things to try that may help:

1. Open the Volume Control. To do this, you can:
− Go to Start / All Programs / Accessories / Multimedia or Entertainment / Volume Control.
− Double-click on the speaker found in the Windows task bar (next to the clock).
2. In the Options / Properties menu, select Recording, then select the Microphone box and unselect the other devices. Click on OK.
3. Adjust the microphone's recording level either with the microphone’s slide bar or from the Control Panel.

If you select a recording level that is too high, you may pick up too much background noise. If you select a level that is too low, you may not be able to hear yourself clearly.

If you have a voice modem installed on your computer, it’s a good idea to deactivate its driver. It's also a good idea to deactivate any programs running in the background that require a lot of your computer's memory resources.

Finally, don’t place the microphone too close to your mouth. The microphone provided with the product is very sensitive. You may need to place it 15 cm (6 in.) from your mouth to have a good quality recording.
