Error 4112
This error indicates content from Rosetta Stone® language files are missing or corrupt. This could be caused for the following reasons:

On Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10.If you are receiving the 4112 error message and you're using Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10 please follow the instructions below. You need to reset the installation path to default and reinstall your Language Levels: Windows Vista and 7:
3. Delete the file dynamicstoredpaths.xml and products.xml . 4. On your desktop double-click Rosetta Stone icon to launch the program. 5. Click Add a Language Level . 6. Insert a Language Level disk into your CD drive and click Continue . 7. Accept the default install location. 8. Once the Language Level installation is complete you'll be prompted to Continue or Add More . If you have additional Language Levels, click Add More. If you don't have additional Levels to install, click Continue .
On Mac OS XIf you are receiving the 4112 error message and you're using Mac, please follow the instructions below. You need to verify permissions for Rosetta Stone's Content folder: 1. Double click on 2. Ctrl + Click on Rosetta Stone and click Get Info (See fig. 1).
3. Go to your Applications folder and launch If you still receive error 4112, then quit Rosetta Stone and proceed to the next step. You need to re-install your Language Levels since some of the files are probably corrupt or missing: 1. Double click on 2 . Delete the file dynamicstoredpaths.xml . 3. Go to your Applications folder and launch the Rosetta Stone application. 4. Click Preferences icon 5. You will receive the prompt "This Language Level already exists on your computer. Are you sure you want to reinstall the existing Language files?" or the message seen below. Click Yes . 6. Accept the default install location. 7. Once the Language Level installation is complete you will be prompted to Continue or Add More . If you have additional Language Levels, click Add More. If you do not have additional Levels to install, click Continue . On Windows XPIf you are receiving the 4112 error message and you're using Windows XP, please follow the instructions below. You will need to reset the installation path to default and reinstall your Language Levels: 1. Double-click My Computer 2. Go to Tools , then Folder Options. 3. Click the View tab, and then Show Hidden Files and Folders. Click OK. 4. Double-click the folder Application Data , then Rosetta Stone, and finally TOTALe . 5. Delete the file dynamicstoredpaths.xml. 6. On your desktop double click 7. Click Preferences icon 8. You will receive the prompt “This Language Level already exists on your computer. Are you sure you want to reinstall the existing Language files?” or the message seen below. Click Yes . 9. Accept the default install location. 10. Once the Language Level installation is complete you will be prompted to Continue or Add Another Level . If you have additional Language Levels, click Add Another Level. If you do not have additional Levels to install, click Continue . |
