If you are having trouble getting your browser to recognize your microphone or Flash, please visit this link for extra steps to take. The first time you configure your headset on Foundations, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge may ask you for permission to access your microphone. It is important that you allow the website to use the microphone. Please note, third party messages may mention camera permissions, but Rosetta Stone will not use your camera. If you've accidentally blocked your microphone or need to change these permissions, here's how: Google Chrome is on the left and Microsoft Edge is on the right. Be sure to refresh or reload your page to ensure that the changes take place.
Foundations will also request permission to use Flash. It is also vital to allow the website access to this. Select "Allow" and "Remember" on the Flash pop up. At this time, please also click on the small microphone icon on the box and make sure that your headset is listed as a usable device and that it the input meter responds to sounds. Once you have allowed the website access to Flash and the microphone, you will begin the headset setup process. The program will have you select your headset and repeat "1...2...3...4...5...". After a brief pause for the program to analyze your speech, it will pass the headset configuration process and you will be ready to learn.
