The Skype plug-in has been known to cause difficulties with our Speech Recognition Engine when using Rosetta Course, Live Tutoring and Rosetta World in Rosetta Stone Language Learning. Some of the symptoms you may experience are:
Please Note: Disabling the Skype plug-in in your web browser does not remove the Skype program from your computer. You can still use Skype as you normally would. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, please click here GeneralPlease click on a link above to see instructions specific to your web browser. In Mozilla FirefoxOpen Mozilla Firefox.Open the Firefox menu. Click Add-ons. Click the Extensions tab at the top of the new window that opens Click on the Skype extension for Firefox so that it's selected Click the Disable button The Skype plug-in should now be disabled from your web browser and you should be able to use the TOTALe Speech Recognition successfully.
In Internet ExplorerOpen Internet ExplorerOpen the Tools at the top of your web browser
Select Manage add-ons On the new window that opens, click on Skype Click to Call for Internet Explorer so that its selected, then click the Disable button The Skype Add-on should now be disabled from your web browser and you should be able to use the TOTALe Speech Recognition successfully.
