Adobe Flash Player Privacy Settings In order to complete a lesson that uses your headset or microphone (such as "Reading aloud" lessons) you will need to adjust your Adobe Flash Player settings to allow Rosetta Stone access to your microphone.
When you first launch a lesson that uses your microphone, a prompt for Adobe Flash Player will appear in the lower right corner of the screen: This message will ask you if the site content.livemocha.com can access your camera and microphone. Before checking "Allow," click on the microphone icon (second to last tab in the Adobe Flash Player Settings screen) and check to make sure Adobe is accessing the correct sound output device.
Once you have selected your correct microphone, you can go back to the privacy settings and choose “Allow” and check “Remember.”
The namespace that is accessing your microphone may vary depending on what lesson you are doing, so you may have to choose "Allow" multiple times for different lessons.
In the event that you choose “Allow” then check “Remember” and the wrong microphone was selected, you can edit your Adobe Flash Player Privacy Settings by going to the following link: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager06.html Simply find the namespace in your Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager (which again, can vary depending on the lesson) and delete the website, and then re-launch the Rosetta Stone Advanced English for Business lesson that uses speech. It should then prompt you with the above privacy notification.
