Rosetta Stone Version 2 Homeschool: Student Management System. Error message, "You have no work to do." How do I fix this?

 

The error message "You have no work to do" indicates:

  • your student exists in the SMS database but is not enrolled in a class

  • student completed current tracks(admin will need to adjust the track settings for that student)
To fix this, please follow the instructions for your version of SMS. If these instructions do not resolve the error, please contact Support.

SMS version 3.0 (or higher):

  1. Log in to the SMS Administrator
  2. In the menu bar at the top of the Administrator window, click File then click Setup Wizard
  3. In the Setup Wizard, select Set Up Students and click Next
  4. In the left side, select the correct Instructor, Class and Track from the drop-down boxes
  5. In the Available Students list, click on the name of your student (to highlight it) and then click >> to move that student to the Enrolled Students list
  6. Click Finished to exit the Setup Wizard

SMS version 2.1.4 (or earlier):

  1. Log in to the SMS Administrator
  2. In the left side of the window, go to the Enrolled Students folder for your class using these steps
    • Double-click the Instructors folder (to open it)
    • Double-click the name of your teacher
    • Double-click the name of your class
    • Double-click the Enrolled Students folder
  3. If your student is not currently listed in the Enrolled Students folder:
    • On the menu bar at the top of the window, click Enrolled Students and then click Enroll Existing Student(s)
    • In the window that appears, click your student then click Select
  4. If your student is listed in the Enrolled Students folder:
    • Click the name of your student (to highlight it)
    • In the right side of the window, look under Track Summary
    • If the Track Summary shows the status is Inactive:
      • Make a note of the student's current Lesson
      • Click Set Position in Active Track and reset the student to that Unit and Lesson
    • If the Track Summary shows Track Unassigned:
      • Use the Track drop-down box to assign the student to a track
    • Click Save to confirm
