There are over 200 passages in Rosetta Stone® Reading for Homeschool that are written from about a 1st through 5th grade level, and those passages are split evenly between narrative and expository text.

Students are reading passages that increase systematically in complexity and length, and also cover a variety of genres including fables, mythology, cultural events, book and movie reviews, newspaper op-eds, and procedural texts.

The structured, leveled design of the program ensures that students are developing the requisite foundational phonics skills that they need to apply to read these kinds of texts independently.
