I get a gray screen when trying to install my Rosetta Stone Version 3 Language Levels.

If you are seeing a gray screen after you click Install Selected Language, the following may be the cause:

  • Low hard drive space.
  • An out-dated version of Adobe AIR.

Here's how to fix it:

Check your hard drive space. Rosetta Stone requires 600mb per Language Level.

If you’re on Windows:

1. Click Start , and Computer (or My Computer).

2. Right-click on your (C:) drive and click Properties .

3. If you have fewer than 600mb Free space then you will need remove unwanted files and programs or add additional hard drive space.

    4. Attempt to install.

If you’re on Mac OS X:

    1. Go to your desktop and Control + click on Mac HD .

    2. Click Get Info .

    3. If you have fewer than 600mb Available space then you will need remove unwanted files/programs or add additional hard drive space.

      4. Attempt to install.
