I activated my Rosetta Stone Version 3 before but now it's no longer activated. Why?

This can happen if your activation files have been involuntarily reset. A few causes are:

-Your date and time settings changed.

-You “migrated” the activation files from one hard drive to another.

- You recently did a “system restore”.

- A security program has manipulated the activation files.

Here's how to fix it:

First, make sure your date and time is correct:

If you’re using Windows XP, click here.
If you’re using Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10, click here.
If you’re using Mac OS X, click here.

If you're using Windows XP, please follow the instructions below:

1. Double-click on the time in the lower right.

2. If your date, time, or time zone is incorrect adjust it, then click OK .

If you're using Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10, please follow the instructions below:

For Windows 10, Date and Time settings should have Set time Automatically to set to On. Few lines below, verify your Timezone is correctly shown. You will also have to verify "Adjust for daylight saving time automatically" is also switched to On.

1. Right-click on the date and time in the lower right, and select Adjust Date /Time . For Windows 8 make sure you are following directions from the Desktop View.

2. If your date, time or time zone is incorrect you may adjust it here.

3. Click OK .

If you're using Mac OS X, please follow the instructions below:

1. Click the Apple icon, then System Preferences .

2. Select Date & Time .

3. Ensure your date and time is correct.

4. Click on the Time Zone tab and ensure that is correct.

Second, attempt to activate your program:

  • Launch Rosetta Stone Version 3.
  • Click the Preferences icon and then Activate Products .
  • Enter your Activation ID and click Activate .

If the boxes don't appear so that you can enter your Activation ID, here's how to fix it.
If you receive Error 8812 that says, "This activation code is not valid. It may be installed on another computer. Please verify your activation code and re-enter.", here's how to fix it.
