How do I allow Rosetta Stone Language Learning through AVG Internet Security 2011’s Firewall?

If you're having problems with Rosetta Stone and you have AVG Internet Security we recommend allowing Rosetta Stone through the firewall . If you have concerns about the steps provided contact AVG for assistance.

How to fix it:

  1. Open AVG .

  2. Click Tools and then Firewall settings....

  3. Look for any Rosetta Stone entries. If they're set for anything other than Allow for all , click it and then click Edit .

  4. Under Application action click the drop-down and click Allow for all .

  5. Click Back to the list .

  6. Click Add .

  7. Click the “…” beside Path .

  8. Navigate to Computer (or My Computer) > (C:) > Program files (Or Program Files (x86)) > Rosetta Stone > Rosetta Stone TOTALe OR Rosetta Stone Language Training . Click on RosettaStone TOTALe or Rosetta Stone and then OK .

  9. Change the name to RosettaStone.exe .

  10. Ensure it is set for Allow for all under Application action .

  11. Click Back to the list .

     
  12. Click Add .

  13. Click the “…” beside Path .

  14. Navigate to Computer (or My Computer) > (C:) > Program files (Or Program Files (x86)) > RosettaStoneLtdServices . Click ExecutableLauncher and then OK .

  15. Change the name to ExecutableLaunch.exe .

  16. Ensure it is set for Allow for all under Application action .

  17. Click Back to the list .

  18. Click Add .

  19. Click the “…” beside Path .

  20.  

    Navigate to Computer (or My Computer) > (C:) > Program files (Or Program Files (x86)) > RosettaStoneLtdServices . Click InstallAnchorService and then OK .

     

  21. Change the name to InstallAnchorService.exe .

  22. Ensure it is set for Allow for all under Application action .

  23. Click Back to the list .

  24. Click Add .

  25. Click the “…” beside Path .

  26. Navigate to Computer (or My Computer) > (C:) > Program files (Or Program Files (x86)) > RosettaStoneLtdServices . Click RosettaStoneDaemon and then OK .

  27. Change the name to RosettaStoneDaemon.exe.

  28. Ensure it is set for Allow for all under Application action .

  29. Click Back to the list .

     
  30. Click Add .

  31. Click the “…” beside Path .

  32. Navigate to Computer (or My Computer) > (C:) > Program files (Or Program Files (x86)) > RosettaStoneLtdServices . Click RosettaStoneLtdServices and then OK .

  33. Change the name to RosettaStoneLtdServices.exe .

  34. Ensure it is set for Allow for all under Application action .

  35. Click OK .
