How can I play Audio Companion MP3 tracks (Mac only)

You can play Rosetta Stone® Audio Companion® tracks on your computer, MP3 player, or CD player.

Play Audio Companion MP3 tracks on your computer
Your administrator will tell you where to find the Audio Companion MP3 tracks.

Do one of the following:

  • Navigate to any track and double-click it.

  • Select any number of tracks, drag them to a playlist in your media player, and click the Play button.

Copy Audio Companion tracks to another device
You can copy tracks to your computer or handheld device.

  • Open the device or folder.
  • Drag the tracks to your device or folder.

Make Audio Companion CDs using iTunes
You can use the iTunes media player to create two kinds of CDs with the Audio Companion files—a CD with MP3 files or an audio CD. Below are advantages and disadvantages of each followed by instructions.

Advantage

Holds up to three Levels on a single CD

Plays on any CD player

Disadvantage

Plays only on MP3-equipped CD players

Holds only one Unit per CD

How to make an MP3 CD

  • Place up to three Levels of tracks in a folder.
  • Drag the folder to iTunes to make a playlist.

Note: Some MP3-compatible CD players can read only a few layers of folders. To ensure playability in these players, drag a single-Level folder to the playlist.

  • Insert a blank CD into your CD-RW drive.
  • Choose File > Burn Playlist to Disc .

  • Eject the CD.

 

How to burn an audio CD
You can fit only one Unit of Audio Companion tracks on an audio CD.

  • Place a single Unit of Audio Companion tracks in a folder.
  • Drag the folder to iTunes to create a playlist.
  • Insert a blank CD into your CD-RW drive.
  • Choose File > Burn Playlist to Disc .
