How do I schedule a Phone Course?

Once you have logged into your Rosetta Stone Advantage account, you will see a section in the center of the screen titled "Phone Courses" that contains a "Schedule" button. Click on this button to begin the scheduling process.

Once you click "Schedule", a screen will automatically appear with the following information. Click "Continue".

To view the times available for phone courses, click "Find a Time".

Step 1: Choose a phone course.
Use the left hand menu and select the "Context", "Level", and "Pack" of phone session you'd like to attend. This will bring up a list of topics for you to select.

Click the topic of the session you would like to attend. This will show you the session goals and allow you click "Find a Time" to bring up the scheduling calendar.

Step 2: Choose a Time
Click the date on the scheduling calendar to view available times for your phone course. Click "Select" next to the session you want to attend.

Once you select the session, a page will appear asking you to set your reminder notifications for the session. From this page you can update your email address for the confirmation, turn additional reminders on or off, and select the amount of the reminder email. Click "Save" to continue.

Next a page will appear asking for your contact information. Select or enter a phone number (or Skype ID) for the coach to use when reaching out for your session. Click "Done" to continue.

If you have scheduled a session before, your settings have been saved and you will receive the following confirmation page. Click "OK" to confirm your phone course.

After confirming, you will receive a page verifying the details of your scheduled session. Click "Done" to return to your homepage.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail from your instructor and can expect your instructor to call you at the specified phone number on the date and time of your scheduled Phone Course.

How long does a Phone Course last?

Each Phone Course is 30 minutes in duration. It is important that you are prepared for the appointment to ensure that you are able to maximize your time spent with the instructor working on your conversational skills in your new language!

How can I view my future appointments for Phone Courses after they have been scheduled?

Once you have scheduled a Phone Course appointment, you can view your future appointments by signing into Rosetta Stone Advantage, selecting "Phone Courses" from the left hand menu. Your upcoming phone courses will be listed in the middle of the page.

To cancel the session, click the gray "X" icon to the right of the screen.

How do I download the lesson material to prepare for my Phone Course?

A link to download the Phone Course material will show up when you click on the name of the topic. You will also receive a confirmation email with the details of the session that includes a link to the lesson material. Please prepare for your Phone course in advance and have the material printed or open on your computer as your tutor will go over this material with you during the session.

How can I be sure that the instructor has my correct phone number?

You can verify that your instructor has the correct phone number where you can be reached for your Phone Course appointment in two ways:

1) Click "Add phone number" from the left hand menu.

Select the number you'd like to use or enter a new number (or Skype ID) to use. Then click "Done".

2) Reference the confirmation e-mail that was sent to you after scheduling your appointment. If you notice that the phone number or any other information in your confirmation e-mail is incorrect, you update the information from the screen in Step 1 or reach out to your site administrator.

Do I have to sign into Rosetta Stone Advantage from my computer during the Phone Course?

No, you do not need to sign into your Rosetta Stone Advantage account from a computer or laptop during your Phone Course. These appointments are designed to be conversationally based between you and the instructor. However, keep in mind that the topics of conversation for your Phone Courses will correspond with the material that you are learning in Rosetta Stone Advantage.

How can I cancel a scheduled Phone Course?

You may cancel a scheduled Phone Course with either of the following two options:

1) Sign into Rosetta Stone Advantage, click on "Phone Courses" from the left hand menu, then select the "X" next to the session you want to cancel.

A confirmation will appear asking you to confirm the cancellation. Click "OK" and your session will be cancelled.

2) Refer back to the confirmation e-mail that you received after scheduling your Phone Course appointment. At the end of that e-mail there is a link that will bring you back to the portal so you can cancel and reschedule your appointment. 

Note: You may only reschedule your appointment if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance.

How many Phone Courses can I take?

The amount of Phone Courses that you are able to participate in depends upon your organization's contract with Rosetta Stone. The number of phone sessions available to you will be listed in your Rosetta Stone Advantage account page under the "Phone Courses" tab. Once on the tab, the number of courses available to you are listed on the right menu bar.

Will my available Phone Courses expire?

Your Phone Courses will expire with your license, meaning that you will not be able to complete unused Phone Courses once your training period with Rosetta Stone Advantage has ended or once your administrator has deactivated your access.

How can I keep track of my Phone Course progress?

You may view the number of previously completed Phone Courses by clicking on the "Phone Courses" tab from the left hand menu of your home screen. The number of completed, sheduled, and available sessions will be listed on the right menu bar at the top. You may also keep track of the time spent in Phone Courses by clicking on the "My Statistics" tab from the left hand menu and then selecting "My Summary".
