Usage Reports for Administrators

Once learners are registered, you can keep track of their progress in the Rosetta Stone® program by generating reports. To learn more about a particular report, click on the corresponding link below.

Usage Report

This report provides the usage of a particular group of learners. To generate this report: 

1. Click on the Reports tab. Then, choose "Begin" underneath the Usage Report section at the bottom right.

2.  You will be presented with the group hierarchy of your site on the left. Choose the group you would like to run usage for. If you would like to see usage for the entire site, click on the "Top Level" group.

3. Once you have chosen a group, you will see the "Overall Time Spent" in that group displayed at the top right of the page. Under "Usage for this Group", the total usage will be broken down among the languages available on your site and any additional features your learners have the ability to access.

4. You have the option to filter usage by certain dates by clicking on the "Filter' button at the top right. Once you have chosen dates for this report, only usage completed during these dates will be visible to you.

The Filter button also gives you the option to view usage by Learner's Languages or by Learner and the option to include the usage of inactive learners and/or learners with no usage.

5. Export this report to your computer by clicking on the XLS or PDF buttons at the top right. 

6. To schedule an automatic version of this report, click on the Reports tab and then choose "Schedule" under the Usage Report section.

7. Modify your report to include the group and usage you would most like to see. Then, set up your recurrence schedule to determine when the report will be e-mailed to you.

8. When you have selected all of the information that works best for you, click the "Schedule" button at the bottom right. The first report for each format you have chosen will be sent to your e-mail address on the specified start date.
*Please note that you will receive a separate e-mail for each format you select.

Learner Curriculum Report

This report provides detailed usage for an individual learner. To generate this report:

1. Click on the Reports tab. Then, choose "View" underneath the Learner Curriculum Report section at the bottom of the page.

2. Search for a learner using the criteria available to you. Once you have found the learner you are looking for, select a language level to view. Then click "View".

3. You will now be able to see a detailed Learner Report for the language level you specified. General information about that level is located at the top, while detailed usage is shown for each activity at the bottom.

4. You have the option to filter usage by certain dates by clicking on the "Filter" button at the top right. Once you have chosen dates for this report, only usage completed during these dates will be visible to you.

5. To export this report to your computer, simply click on the XLS or PDF buttons at the top right.

List Curriculum Report

This report provides usage for learners within a particular list in graph form. To generate this report:

1. Click on the Reports tab. Then, choose "Begin" underneath the List Curriculum Report section at the bottom left.

2. You will be asked to make three choices in order to generate the report.
  • Select a list of learners to report on
  • Choose a language level to view
  • Select a curriculum to view
3. Once you have made your choices, click on "Generate List Curriculum Report."

4. Your report will now be visible and will display the following information:

  • A bar graph showing the percentage of learners who have completed each activity.
  • A line graph showing average scores for learners who have completed each activity.
  • Dashed marks to show the highest and lowest scores achieved for each activity.
  • A table showing Overall scores, Progress Percentage, Time Spent, and the Current Activity for each learner in the list.
Note:  Learners who haven’t completed an activity will not be represented in the scoring chart.

5. You have several options for saving or exporting this report:
  • Save the report to your list views by clicking the “Add as List View” icon in the top right of the screen.  This will allow you to access the report from the Reports tab. 
  • Export the summary results displayed in the graph by clicking one of the “Export” icons above the graph. User-added image
  • Click an activity icon to view an activity report.
  • Double-click on a learner's name to view their a Learner Curriculum Report.

6. Clicking on one of the activity icons will show you information on the specific activity that you have selected, including the current status, the score, the time spent, and the last attempt date of each learner in the list.

My Reports for Administrators

This report can be generated from the administrator's log-in page. To create this report: 

1. Sign in with your administrator username and password.

2. After signing in, click on the “My Reports” link.

3. After selecting “My Reports,” you’ll see two drop-down menus. One for groups, and a second for learners.  Select the group or learner whose report you would like to view.

4. Select a file format by clicking on one of the icons directly to the right of either the group or the learner drop-down menu.  You can download your report as an XLS, CSV, or PDF file.

5. You may receive a pop-up screen asking if you wish to open or save the document or zip file.  Choose the relevant option for your purposes and click "OK."

6. If you choose to open the file, you will see the report displayed in the requested format.
