1. Can I redo a Test?

No, a test that has been finished cannot be edited or retaken.

IMPORTANT: If you experience technical difficulties and you are not able to solve them after having read and followed the technical instructions below, please stop the test and contact support.
 

2. Is it possible to delete a Test result?

A test that has been started or finished can not be deleted.
 

3. How much time do I have to answer a question?

  • Placement/Assessment and Progress Tests

In Placement/Assessment and Progress Tests you have a chronometer with a different time expectation for each question.  You must submit an answer before the allotted time is over. 
  • Achievement/Certification Tests

In Achievement/Certification Tests, the time to answer depends on the questions and/or section of questions that you’re answering.  Below you will find a table with these values:

IMPORTANT: Once the allotted answering time for a given section section is up, you will be automatically skipped to the next section regardless of how many questions have been answered.
 

4. I can not select an answer. What is happening?

Test questions are time limited: a chronometer is present in the top right corner of the test window. The time you have to answer depends on the question.

If a timeout is reached, the playback buttons and the options to answer would be blocked.  You would only have the "Submit" available to go to the next question.

5. Speakers are grayed out and I can not hear the sound anymore. Why?

The test allows you to click the audio button twice per option.  After clicking twice, the audio playback button would be disabled for that option.

If all the speakers are grayed out, you will be allowed to select your answer and then click on "Submit" to go to the next question.

6. Some questions do not have text. Is that normal?

Some questions and answers do not have text because their objective is to evaluate the oral comprehension. You should click on the speakers to hear and then make your  selection.
 
a. Click the speakers to hear the possible answers.

7. I have difficulties accessing the Test.  What should I do?

1. Add the RS Advantage websites to the list of your Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer browser
a. Open Internet, click the Tools button/menu, and then click Internet Options.
b. Click the Security tab, and then Trusted Sites.
c. Click Sites.
d. If the site is not a secure site (HTTPS), clear the “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone” check box.
e. Type the below list of domains one by one and click on <Add> for each one. 
*.tellmemorecampus.com
*.tellmemoreeducation.com
*.tellmemorepro.com
*.tellmemore.com
*.rosettastone.com
f. Click Close, and then OK
2. Delete Internet Explorer “Temporary Internet Files” and “Cookies”
a. Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools button/menu, and then click Internet Options.
b. Click the General tab, and then click Delete under Browsing history.
c. Select “Temporary Internet Files” and “Cookies” and click on “Delete”.
d. Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete this information, and then click OK.
 
NOTE: If you use another browser, we recommend that you also delete the Cookies, the Cache and the Browsing history for that browser.
 
3. Reinstall Flash Player
a. Go into the web site https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ 
b. Uncheck/clear any “Optional offer” that may exist.
c. Click on “Install now” and follow the instructions.
 
NOTE: this process should be done using the browser that you will use for RS Advantage training.
