Error 9114 or 9117

These errors are often encountered during the language installation process as error 9114/9117. These errors can also be encountered after clicking on a user from the user selection screen or inside of a lesson. Here are some steps that may help to resolve the issue:

If receiving 9114 or 9117
  1. Visually inspect the disk to ensure there are no visible scratches or smudges
    1. If fingerprints or other substance is visible on the underside of the CD, use a damp cloth to gently wipe the CD from the center of the disk to the outer edge until the disk is clean.
    2. Attempt to install the language CD again.
  2. This issue can also be caused by the application attempting to install to a non-default location. This can be fixed by deleting a file labeled "dynamicstoredpaths.xml".
