Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone for iPad allows Rosetta Stone Language Learning subscribers to attend Tutoring sessions with a live tutor anywhere they use an iPad. It's a dedicated application that enables iPad users to continue discovering their new language.

Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone is a supplemental component of the comprehensive language learning experience, Rosetta Stone Language Learning. Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone gives you the opportunity to take Live Tutoring, practice sessions with a small group led by our native speaking tutors, wherever your language learning takes you.

How do I get Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone on my iPad?

There are 2 ways to get the Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone onto your device:

Download from your iPad® Download from the iTunes Store and sync to your iPad

iTunes® needs to be installed on your computer before downloading the Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone App. We recommend using the latest version of iTunes.

For any issues related to iTunes® troubleshooting, please refer to Apple Support.

  1. Open the App Store on your iPad.
  2. Search for Rosetta Stone, Ltd.
  3. Tap on the Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone icon.
  4. Tap the Free button to complete the install process.
  5. Connect your iPad® to the computer using your USB cable.
  6. Open iTunes and type Rosetta Stone, Ltd. in the Search Store field.
  7. Locate the Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone App, and click on it. You'll see the app homepage containing detailed information (reviews, instructions, screenshots, etc.).
  8. Click on Free, when you're ready to download your Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone App.
  9. Sign-in to download from the iTunes Store.
  10. Select your device in the iTunes window and "sync" your device.

How do I login to Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone?

First, install the Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone app from the Apple App Store. Simply click the Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone app on your Homescreen. Enter your email and password and click "Login". If your session has already begun, then you'll be moved into the Session. If you're early, then you'll be moved into the waiting room until your session begins.

Do I need to use a headset with a microphone in my Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone sessions?

Yes, a headset is required in Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone. Without one you will experience poor audio quality, and produce an audio disruption called an "echo". In this situation, a support agent will ask you to use a headset before continuing.

Can other participants see me through my iPad's camera while on Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone?

No, your iPad's camera is not used in Live Tutoring: Rosetta Stone. Only your coach can broadcast their webcam in the session, and all other participants only use microphones in the session.

How can I chat with another learner or tutor?

You can chat with the tutor or other learners by clicking the "Chat" button in the upper right and select "Everyone" or "Tutor". The on-screen keyboard will appear and you can type a message. Tap the Enter button to send your message.

Find a quiet and comfortable place to enjoy your tutoring session. Areas with excessive noise are hard to concentrate in and can disrupt the Tutoring session.

Plug in your headset

A headset provides the best audio quality in your Tutoring session. It's important to clearly hear the coach and other learners to get the most out of your experience. Not using a headset can cause audio disruptions, and a support agent may ask you to use one.
